Open to any kind of bike and biker, the Mototortello gathering links two classic passion of bikers: curves and good cooking (somebody talk about a 3rd one but actually I dont't know what they refer to).
After some year of changing site, Mototortello seems to have found the ideal area where to take place: the Fontanino of Groppallo (province of Piacenza). This site is in the heart of Appennini mountains, between Piacenza, Parma and Genova, where there is a source or pure water and large places where camping, eating and dancing.
The program for 2009 edition is the following:
Saturnday 11 July
h 10: registrations open.
10 € registration (saturnday&sunday) + gadget
h 11: the long bike trip starts (about 150 km across Emilia and Liguria).
h 18: aperitivo offered by Confraternity of FATS.
h 20: food stands open: sausages, beer, cakes etc.
h 21: live music and dance all night long.
You can sleep in your tent for free or at Albergo Ristorante Salini, which is about a kilometer away from the Fontanino area.
Sunday 12 July
h 8: registrations open.
10 € registration + gadget
28 € registration + gadget + lunch (salumi, tortelli, polenta, cakes, wine)
h 11: the short bike trip starts (about 60 km).
h 12,30: lunch at Fontanino area with tipical dishes like salumi, tortelli con la coda, polenta, cakes.
h 15,00: concert and games with prizes
Will be given a prize to the youngest, the oldest, the biker who cames from farest place, the largest group, and miss Mototortello.
The party last till the evening.
The area is open to anybody, biker or not, without registration obligation.
